Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) recruitment 2024 Eligibility:

In order to be eligible for appointment as teacher, a candidate must satisfy the following terms conditions: 

1. Candidate must be a Citizen of India 
2.  Candidate must be of sound minded 
3. Candidate must not be having more than one spouse living.

Essential Education Qualification for all teachers: 

1. The candidate must have passed MIL Odia up to ME standard. 
2. The candidates who have not passed Odia up to M.E Standard can apply, but they have to pass the examination (Odia up to M.E Standard) conducted by BSE, Odisha, Cuttack within three years from the date of joining. 
3. Candidates must have Master Degree/Bachelor Degree in Arts/ Science with Bachelor Degree in Education from any University of the State as applicable for different posts. 
4. All candidates for the post of TGTs (TGT English, TGT Mathematics, TGT Science, TGT Social Studies) must have passed OSSTET / OTET-Paper-II conducted by BSE/ CTET -Paper-II conducted by CBSE in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE. 
5. The candidates should have competence to teach both in English & Odia medium for all the above teaching posts. The knowledge of computer application is desirable for all teaching posts. 

Essential Academic Qualification And Experiences:

For principle: 

1. Candidate must have a master dergee with minimum 45% marks from a govt recognised university.
2. Candidate must have B.ed Degree fron NCTE recognised university.
3. Candidate must have teaching experience in state / central Govt institute.
4. Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.
5. Desirable:Basic Knowledge of Computer Application.

For Post Graduate Teacher(PGT): 

1. Candidate must have a master dergee or two years integrated post graduate degree in relevent subject with minimum 50% marks from a govt recognised university.
2. Candidate must have B.ed Degree fron NCTE recognised University.
3. Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.
4. Desirable:Basic Knowledge of Computer Application.

For Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): 

• Candidate must have a bachelor dergee or four years integrated graduate degree in relevent subject with minimum 50% marks from a govt recognised university.
• Candidate must have B.ed Degree fron NCTE recognised University.
• Proficiency in teaching both in Odia and English medium.
• Desirable:Basic Knowledge of Computer Application.

Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) recruitment 2024 Age Limits:

 Age will be calculated in years as on 01.01.2024.  The Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate will only be accepted for the Application.

Age limits for the post of Principal: 

Maximum age is 50 years and minimum age is 32 years as on 01.01.2024. However,  for SC/ST, Women, SEBC, Ex-military candidates, the upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years and in for PwDs, the upper age limit shall be relaxed by 10 years. 

Age limits for all other Teachers: 

Maximum age is 38 years and minimum age 21 years as on 01.01.2024. However, for SC/ST, Women, SEBC, the upper age limit shall be relaxed by 5 years and for PH candidates the upper age limit shall be relaxed by 10 years. Age limit of Ex-service man shall be as per G.A. Notification No-22586/Gen. Dtd.16.10.1985 and Rules / guidelines of Govt. of Odisha in operation.

Application Fees: 

Application fee is non-refundable and can be paid vial both online and offline.

Application Fee for the Post of Principal:

    Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) only UR & SEBC candidates and Rs.1250/- (Rupees One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty) only for SC, ST & PwD candidates plus bank charges and service tax. 

Application Fee for Other Teacher Posts:

    Rs. 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred) only UR & SEBC candidates and Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand) only for SC, ST and PwD candidates plus bank charges and service tax.
